We strive to explore a local traditional architectural vocabulary, so as to preserve the original village layout and environment to the greatest extent. We aim to avoid disturbing, intruding upon or damaging the existing rural living environment. Meanwhile, we hope to adopt new building materials and modern construction methods to create rural architecture with extensive reference value.

During the project renovation, we made multiple visits to the site to communicate with the construction team on architectural style, construction techniques and the inheritance of local characteristics. More importantly, local villagers took an active part in the whole construction process. With their profound experience of traditional local architecture and simple down-to-earth perspective, they provided invaluable guidance and reference for our design work.
